There is something about a live concert (and to some extent the resultant album) which you cannot achieve in any other way. Something, oh, called, what's it called, whistling. That's what it is; it's a fine concert with unbelievably loud crowd noise. I suppose a concert is mostly a social occasion, a chance to be part of a big event and smoke marijuana or drink beer or beat someone up, depending on who the performers are, and to hell with the music. Yeah that's right, I'm too old. But doesn't that shrill whistle which deafens you detract from your enjoyment of the event? There have been some good live concert albums. I'm listening to a very good Tangerine Dream one right now. But does that idiot who whistles actually think that he is contributing to the creative music experience? No, it is just his way of beating his chest like a horny gorilla.
