At one time, at Montana State University, I had passed German 102, but flunked German 101 and 103. And, of course, German 101 is the prerequisite for German 102 and 103. I may hold some kind of world record for that.
This is how I did it. I got a D in German 101. Then I got a D in German 102. Then I got an F in German 103. Rather than take 103 over, and replace the F, I figured I would take the whole series over. I then flunked German 101, wiping out the D.
Later, I passed the entire series, rather easily, and got my B.S. degree in Math. But, for a while there, the situation was fairly strange.
