Please play in the 2002 Marion Tinsley Memorial 3-Move National Checkers Tournament in Las Vegas, NV, Aug. 5-10, 2002. Masters play Aug. 5-10, Majors and Minors play Aug. 5-9. The tournament will again be at the 4 Queens Casino Hotel in downtown Las Vegas. Rooms will be $29 plus tax, per night ($49 plus tax for Fridays and Saturdays); be sure and ask for this checkers tournament special rate, for yourself, family, and friends. Hotel reservations (1-800-634-6045) must be made by July 1, and reservations require that you pay a deposit. Rooms are available Aug. 1-11. This wonderful tournament should be even better than last year's go-as-you-please tournament, and should break all attendance records.

Personally, the King Tut Museum at the Luxor was surprisingly good. Hey, there are entire books about what you can do in Las Vegas. And food and lodging is generally inexpensive.
